I think you are one to something here. The 4th wall breaking and the inconsistencys in this type of story ARE thematically appropriate and just make it all the more interesting. I have read most of your work and none of it is bad and all of it is, in my opinion as good if not better than the very few other people who write in this neich. Try not to be so self critical. Because we are just happy that you are writing at all.

DeleteYou can probably take what the characters, even "Sal", say with a grain of salt or three. Aside from trying to break my writer's block again, this story is me processing emotions and well as ideas. It comes out kind of extreme, because that's the raw feelings; it's easy for me, and I'm sure a lot of other content creators, to get wrapped up in our own heads and be our own worst enemy in over-focusing on the flaws.
When I'm in the deep pits of creative frustration, it doesn't really matter how much I try to reassure myself that things aren't that bad, I still feel like absolute shit until I finally manage to break out of the funk one way or another. And so really, that's part of what I'm tapping into here. You what they say, True Art comes from Pain! :V
