ENTRANCE FEE
Dan suddenly felt nervous as he and his friends pulled up to the beach parking lot. A fairly secluded area, a big “beginning of the year” party for the all the fraternities and sororities was being thrown at a semi-private beach. Once parked, the six young men got out of the car and proceeded towards the beach’s “entrance,” a small path that cut between two hills.
There were several young women at the entrance. Two of them were dressed in bikinis, another wore a one-piece swimsuit, and the other two had short skirts and tank tops. Dan recognized the one with long brunette hair as Becca, from his physics class.
Beyond them, below the hills, Dan could hear the sounds of music, laughter, and some hooting. The beer was already flowing strong. When the boys reached the path, however, the girls there each held a hand up to stop them.
“Hang on, guys,” said the lead girl. Dan remembered her name was Becca. “There’s a new dress code.”
Scott rolled his eyes. “Whatever, babe,” he said, and tried to step by them. Becca smirked and stepped in front of him. “Nope. This is a proper party, and boys need to wear the right suit.”
Scott sighed and took a step back. Like the rest of the guys, he was dressed in only swim trunks and a tee-shirt. “Okay,” he said, humoring her. “What’s the dress code?”
“Boys get naked!” giggled a blond in a bikini.
